Arunachal: Sarti Village Near Indo-China Border to Receive Upgraded School Facilities and Community Shed

Sarti, Arunachal Pradesh – Sarti village, located near the Indo-China border in Walong, is set to benefit from enhanced school infrastructure and a new community shed as part of the Sadbhavna Projects for 2024-25.

On Sunday, Dasanglu Pul, the Arunachal Minister for Women and Child Development and local MLA of Hayuliang constituency, laid the foundation stones for the new developments.

The improvements include the upgrading of the Government Residential School (GRS) in Sarti and the construction of a community shed, both aimed at boosting local infrastructure and community welfare. The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by Brigadier Revetty Bhandari, Commander of the 82nd Mountain Brigade, Colonel Deepak Kataria, Deputy Commander, along with local residents, school staff, and villagers.

These projects are part of the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavna, which focuses on fostering development and welfare in remote and border areas. Brigadier Bhandari highlighted the Army’s commitment to improving education and community well-being in such strategically important regions. The Indian Army’s leadership played a crucial role in ensuring the approval and successful implementation of these initiatives.

Operation Sadbhavna has been instrumental in carrying out various welfare activities, including the establishment of goodwill schools, infrastructure development, and organizing educational tours for children living in border areas near China and Myanmar. The ongoing efforts under this operation are helping bridge the development gap in these remote areas, ensuring a brighter future for the local communities.
