Arunachal: Siang Trust Conducts Free Health Camps in Remote Indo-China Border Villages

Itanagar: In a significant initiative to provide medical assistance to remote border villages, Siang Trust, in collaboration with Sewa Bharati Purvanchal and Dhanawantari Sewa Yatra, conducted free health camps across villages along the Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.

The outreach program covered Monigong Circle in Shi-Yomi district and Tuting Circle in Upper Siang district, offering crucial healthcare services to underserved communities.

In Shi-Yomi district, free health camps were organized in Monigong, Karo, and Tato, benefitting 203 patients in need of medical attention.

Similarly, in the Tuting area of Upper Siang district, camps were held in Ngaming, Singging, Migging, and Ayangging villages, where 185 patients received free healthcare services.

The medical camps offered free blood pressure tests, sugar tests, and essential medicines, catering especially to children and underprivileged patients from these remote regions.

The initiative saw participation from specialist doctors and MBBS practitioners from various parts of the country, including Dr. Devesh Kumar, Dr. S. Mittal, Dr. Anuj, Dr. Pushpendra, Dr. Raunak Kumar, and Dr. Narayan Kotwal. Their expertise, along with the efforts of Siang Trust members, played a crucial role in ensuring quality healthcare reached the interiors of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Dhanawantari Sewa Yatra Free Health Camps are conducted annually in different remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, reinforcing the commitment to accessible healthcare for border villages. In a statement, Siang Trust confirmed that more such free health camps are in the pipeline, aiming to extend their reach to more underserved communities in the future.
