Arunachal to Host International Mountain Biking Event with France’s Alex Rudeau in Tawang

Itanagar – Arunachal Pradesh is gearing up for an international sporting spectacle as French mountain biking sensation Alex Rudeau heads to the state for the Monduro Tawang event, scheduled from November 9-14, 2024.

Held in the majestic Tawang Valley, the event is poised to showcase the region’s striking natural beauty and appeal to adventure seekers around the world.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, announcing the event, expressed enthusiasm for Rudeau’s participation, describing the gathering as a tribute to Arunachal Pradesh’s scenic charm. “Arunachal Pradesh – the Gateway to Serenity – is all set to welcome Mr. Alex Rudeau to Monduro Tawang. It is my immense pleasure to invite everyone to witness this rare sporting event set amidst the stunning natural beauty of Tawang Valley. Hope to see you all along with Mr. Alex!” Khandu stated.

The Monduro Tawang event promises to be a thrilling highlight in the global mountain biking calendar, drawing adventure sports enthusiasts and spectators alike. Representing the Commencal Enduro Project, 28-year-old Rudeau has made a mark in the mountain biking circuit, boasting a recent win this season along with four podium finishes in the elite E-Enduro Men category. His current tally includes 1801 EDR World Cup points, 250 WSQ points, and 2051 global ranking points.

Monduro Tawang is set to blend sport with scenic grandeur, adding Arunachal Pradesh to the global map of adventure destinations and underscoring its potential as a hub for world-class events in the years to come.
