Guwahati, 17th May: Phanjen Rijiu, the uncle of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, has passed away. Known for his service and contributions, Phanjen Rijiu was a respected figure in his community.
After retiring as a Sub-Inspector from the Police Department, Phanjen Rijiu continued to serve his community in Nakhu Village, West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, as the Gaon Bura (GB). His tenure as GB was marked by dedication and commitment, earning him immense respect and admiration from the villagers.
Phanjen Rijiu’s legacy of service, both as a police officer and a village elder, leaves a lasting impact on the community. His passing is a significant loss to Nakhu Village and the wider West Kameng district.
