Arunachal: Unique Museum Inaugurated in Honor of Havildar Hangpan Dada in Tirap district
Northeast Desk, 30th October: In a remarkable tribute to the late Havildar Hangpan Dada, a museum dedicated to his memory and valor was inaugurated by Brigadier Swarn Singh, VSM, Commander of 25 Sector Assam Rifles. The inauguration took place in the presence of Chasen Dada, the widow of Havildar Hangpan Dada, at Borduria Village in Tirap District.
Havildar Hangpan Dada was a courageous soldier of the Indian Army who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his motherland in Kupwara District, Jammu & Kashmir. His unwavering bravery and commitment to duty played a crucial role in thwarting a major infiltration attempt and preventing malicious enemy intentions in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In doing so, he set a profound example of patriotism for others to follow.
The primary objective behind establishing the museum is to honor the soldier’s valiant act and inspire the youth to stand up for their nation. The museum’s design, concept, and collection were orchestrated by the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles, with construction carried out by PWD, Tirap.
A wreath-laying ceremony was also organized to pay homage to the Braveheart. The villagers of Borduria commended the efforts of Assam Rifles and PWD in creating the museum, which holds immense significance and pride for the community.
