Arunachal: West Siang District Village With Only 6 Homes Gets a 4G Tower
Guwahati: A 4G tower has been installed in a remote village in the Liromoba Constituency of the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday as part of the Central Government’s remote villages connection programmes.
On the occasion, Liromoba Constituency MLA Nyamar Karbak handed out Airtel SIM cards to the locals and also broke ground on four construction projects in the far-flung Gemo Moku Village.
These projects include the Community Hall-Dare, Culverts, Cement Concrete Drain from BRTF Road to Gemo Moku, and Distribution of Free Airtel Sim Cards. They are all funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund.
Notably, this charming Gemo Moku village currently only has 6 dwellings but is nonetheless just as significant as any other town. This endeavour is a modest effort to integrate outlying areas into society.
The MLA also vowed to cover every other village in his constituency with comparable projects to enable cell access throughout the area.
”This will help all to gain accessibility to further developments in the future,” he added.
Karbak advised the villagers, in particular the kids and young people, to use phones and other electronic devices more responsibly because there is a great risk of becoming unduly dependent on them or being able to access harmful websites if they are not watched.
”It is the responsibility of all the adults to spread awareness and guide our younger generation in particular, to be able to utilize this opportunity as productively,” he added.
Karbak further expressed his gratitude to our beloved Chief Minister Pema Khandu and our young and vivacious Chief Minister Narendra Modi for their assistance in making this dream a reality.
He also expressed gratitude to Bipu Tali, all of the Gram Members, and Gemo Ete for their timely completion of the Tower work.
”Now under the BJP government rural India is connecting in a Real sense,” he added.
