Arunachal Witnesses Key Political Shift as Congress and NPP Leaders Join BJP

Northeast Desk, 25th February: Arunachal Pradesh recently witnessed a significant political development with the formal induction of two Congress legislators and two leaders from the National People’s Party (NPP) into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The high-profile joining ceremony took place at the state BJP office, marking a notable shift in the state’s political landscape.

Prominent among the new entrants to the BJP fold were Congress legislators Ninong Ering and Wanglin Lowangdong, along with NPP stalwarts Mutchu Mithi, former State President of NPP, and Gokar Basar.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed his joy at the additions, extending a warm welcome to the new members via social media. He attributed their decision to join the BJP to their confidence in the principles of good governance championed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s transformative leadership, Khandu emphasized the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, which has garnered widespread support and ushered in positive change nationwide.

The induction of these influential leaders into the BJP is expected to fortify the party’s presence in their respective constituencies and solidify its position in Arunachal Pradesh. The strategic move is poised to bolster the BJP’s prospects in the state, particularly in anticipation of forthcoming elections.

The formal joining ceremony witnessed the presence of Honorable State President Biyuram Wahge and Lok Sabha Election In-charge of the state Ashok Singhal, alongside other esteemed party dignitaries, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
