Arunachal: Woman Tragically Perishes in Dongsor House Fire
Itanagar: A pall of gloom has descended upon the tranquil village of Dongsor in Arunachal Pradesh after a devastating fire claimed the life of a woman in the early hours of August 5. The victim, identified as Yakir Doji, was tragically charred to death when a cylinder blast ignited a ferocious blaze, gutting two houses and leaving the community in shock.
According to Shi-Yomi SP S K Thongdok, the unfortunate incident unfolded around 4:30 AM when Ms. Doji, in a valiant yet fatal attempt, tried to retrieve some belongings from her house. The ensuing explosion led to a massive fire that rapidly engulfed the structure and an adjoining residence. The intensity of the blaze was such that despite efforts, Ms. Doji could not be saved.
District administration officials have since visited the site to assess the extent of the damage caused by the conflagration. While the immediate focus remains on providing support to the affected families, a thorough investigation has been launched to determine the precise sequence of events that led to the tragic cylinder blast and the subsequent fire.
