Arunachal: Wushu Players Strike Gold at East Zone Khelo India Women’s League 2024
Northeast Desk, 9th January: In a remarkable display of skill and determination, four Wushu players from Arunachal Pradesh secured a total of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the East Zone Khelo India Wushu Women’s League 2024. Nyeman Wangsu, Yorna Rosni, Mercy Ngaimong, and Chera Loku showcased outstanding performances in various categories, bringing pride and honor to their home state.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media platform X to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the triumphant Wushu team. He expressed admiration for their exceptional achievements, emphasizing the significance of their victories in making the entire state proud.
This success follows closely on the heels of Arunachal Pradesh’s Curling team, which recently secured 11 silver medals at the Curling tournament held in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. CM Khandu, recognizing the phenomenal sportsmanship of the Curling team, also conveyed his congratulations through X, applauding their efforts in bringing laurels to the state. These consecutive victories underscore Arunachal Pradesh’s growing prominence in the realm of sports, showcasing the dedication and talent of its athletes on the national stage.
