Arunachal: Youthful Mechanic Survives Shooting in Naharlagun, Suspect Apprehended
NAHARLAGUN: A 14-year-old boy is on the path to recovery after a harrowing shooting incident that took place on the night of August 27 in Naharlagun’s A-sector.
The victim, Adrias Induwar, who works as a mechanic helper at a local garage near Vishal Megamart, was shot by an elderly man and is currently being treated at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS).
According to hospital sources, Adrias was brought in critical condition but has shown significant improvement since his admission. The young boy is now reported to be stable and is recovering well under the care of medical professionals. The shooting has sent a ripple of shock through the local community.
Naharlagun’s Superintendent of Police, Nyelam Nega, identified the accused as an elderly man hailing from Siyum village in Upper Subansiri district. The SP noted that the suspect appeared to be suffering from mental health issues, a detail that adds a complex layer to the investigation. Further details regarding the motive and the circumstances leading to the shooting are yet to be ascertained. Authorities are continuing their probe into the incident. The case has been registered and further developments are awaited as the investigation unfolds.
