Arunachal’s Dr. Jamuna Bini Honored with Yuva Katha Samman
Northeast Desk, 23rd April: Arunachal Pradesh’s own Dr. Jamuna Bini, Assistant Professor in the Hindi Department at Rajiv Gandhi University, has been bestowed with the prestigious Yuva Katha Samman this year for her exceptional collection of short stories titled “Ayachit Atithi Aur Anya Kahaniyan.”
Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded Dr. Jamuna Bini’s literary prowess, taking to Twitter to extend his congratulations and express hope that her achievement would serve as an inspiration for the budding talents of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Yuva Katha Samman, presented annually in memory of the renowned Hindi short story writer and critic, Dr. Vijaymohan Singh, was bestowed upon Dr. Bini in recognition of her outstanding contributions to Hindi literature. The ceremony, held at the Rotary Club of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday evening, witnessed literary enthusiasts, writers, and dignitaries applauding Dr. Bini’s enriching narratives and her significant impact on the literary landscape.
