Arunachal’s IAF Corporal Martyred in Pahalgam Terror Attack
Itanagar: Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, became the site of a tragic incident on April 22nd, as a terrorist attack claimed the life of Indian Air Force Corporal Tage Hailyang.
The brave serviceman, a native of Tajang village in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, was visiting the popular tourist destination with his wife when the attack occurred. His wife, thankfully, survived the horrific incident.
The news of Corporal Hailyang’s untimely demise has sent a wave of grief across Arunachal Pradesh. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, in a heartfelt statement, conveyed his profound sorrow. “Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Corporal Tage Hailyang of the Indian Air Force, a brave son of Arunachal Pradesh. While visiting Pahalgam with his wife, his life was cruelly taken in a senseless act of terror,” the Chief Minister stated.
Highlighting the corporal’s dedication to the nation, Khandu further added, “He served the nation with courage and honour, and his untimely death is a great loss not only to his family but to the entire country. Our thoughts are with his loved ones, especially his wife who survived this horrific incident. May they find strength and solace in this unimaginable time of grief.” The state now mourns the loss of one of its valiant sons, whose life was tragically cut short by an act of terror.
