Arunachal’s Nyeman Wangsu Secures Sixth Place in Gunshu Event at 10th Asian Wushu Championships
Northeast Desk, 15th September: Nyeman Wangsu from Arunachal Pradesh delivered an impressive performance at the 10th Asian Wushu Championships, finishing sixth in the gunshu event held in Macau, China, on Friday. Wangsu, who had previously earned recognition by winning a gold medal in daoshu at the 37th National Games in Goa last year, continues to make her mark on the international Wushu stage.
The talented athlete is set to compete next in the changquan and daoshu events scheduled for Sunday, further showcasing her skills. As the sole representative from Arunachal Pradesh at the championships, Wangsu’s achievements underscore her growing prominence in the sport and her potential for future success.
In November 2023, Wangsu solidified her reputation as a rising Wushu star by claiming the gold in the women’s Wushu daoshu event at the National Games. Her remarkable success continues to bring pride to her state and the nation.
