Arvind Kejriwal To Visit Assam In March

Guwahati: The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener and chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit Assam in the first half of March, informed state party leaders on Monday.

Kejriwal will travel to Assam along with Sandeep Pathak the national general secretary of the AAP.

According to reports, Bhaben Choudhury met with Arvind Kejriwal and Sandeep Pathak in New Delhi along with a number of other senior party officials from the state unit. The team evaluated a number of Kejriwal government-initiated development initiatives such as mohalla clinics and the renovation of Delhi government-run schools.

According to Lakshmikanta Dubey, the party’s state joint-coordinator, Arvind Kejriwal and Sandeep Pathak’s visit to Assam will naturally give the AAP organisation in the state a boost.

The pair will lay out a plan for the Panchayat elections and the Lok Sabha elections when they are in Assam, he continued.

Kejriwal has not been to Assam in a number of years. His next trip will mark his official return to Assam since taking office as Chief Minister.

After the party’s victory in the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) election last year, it now has committees in every district in addition to a fully functional 51-member state team.
