Asian Games 2023: India Wins Gold in Squash Mixed Doubles
Sports Desk, 5th October: In an impressive performance, the Indian squash duo of Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu secured a gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China. This victory adds to India’s medal tally at the Games, which now stands at 83 medals, including 20 gold, 31 silver, and 32 bronze.
The mixed doubles final saw a thrilling contest, with both teams displaying their skills. After a closely contested match, the Indian pair managed to secure an 11-point victory, maintaining their composure and control throughout the game.
Aditi Swami, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Parneet Kaur showcased their prowess in archery, contributing to this remarkable victory. Aditi’s impressive performance, including a crucial 10-pointer in her final shot, played a pivotal role in sealing the gold medal for India.
