Sports Desk, 29th September: India celebrated its 7th gold medal victory at the ongoing Asian Games as the shooting contingent achieved an extraordinary feat in the 50 m rifle men’s 3P event.
The Indian shooting team, comprising Swapnil Kusal, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Akhil Sheoran, clinched the gold medal in the 50 m rifle men’s 3P event with an impressive score of 1769 points.
In the competition, the silver medal was secured with a score of 1763 points, while the bronze medal went to South Korea, who achieved a score of 1748 points. Notably, India’s score also shattered the world record of 1761 points previously held by the USA since the preceding year.
This remarkable achievement demonstrates India’s exceptional prowess in the field of shooting and adds to the nation’s success at the Asian Games. The Indian shooters’ dedication, skill, and record-breaking performance are a source of pride for the country.
