Guwahati: Assistant Superintendent of Police Leena Doley has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Nagaon.
Earlier, ASP Dhruba Bora was given a temporary charge of Superintendent of Police (SP) in Nagaon until further orders after the IPS Anand Mishra was transferred from Nagaon to the Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari with immediate effect.
It may be mentioned that IPS Anand Mishra was transferred from Nagaon after the controversy in connection with the encounter of former student leader Kirti Kamal Bora.
Mishra has now been transferred as Assistant IGP (Sports).
