Guwahati, 30th July: A 12-year-old boy, Rohit Bahadur Chhetri, was kidnapped in Sadiya, Tinsukia district, Assam, causing widespread alarm in the local community. Rohit, the son of Nar Bahadur Chhetri from Chunpora Udaipur village, was abducted while returning home from school.
The kidnappers have contacted the family, demanding a ransom of Rs 25 lakh for Rohit’s safe return. They have also issued threats to kill the boy if the ransom is not paid.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the abduction and are actively working to locate Rohit and apprehend the perpetrators.
