Guwahati: Assam Police seized about 130kgs of suspected Cannabis (ganja) and two suspected persons have been arrested from the Assam-West Bengal border on Thursday.
The incident took place in the Pakriguri village.
According to reports, a truck was intercepted by the police personnel. On checking the vehicle, 12 packets of Ganja hidden under tarpaulin each weighing 10 to 11 kgs.
The truck was heading towards Bengal from Assam when it was intercepted on NH 27.
It may be mentioned that the recovered ganga was worth Rs 10,40,000.
