Assam: 14-year-old girl commits suicide due to alleged denial of Ramadan leave in Goalpara

Guwahati, 17th March: The community of Shingimar in West Goalpara was plunged into shock and sorrow following the tragic suicide of a 14-year-old teenage girl. The incident occurred after the SBF Brick kiln owners denied the girl’s family’s request for leave during Ramadan, leading to allegations against the brick kiln owners.

The refusal to grant leave by the brick kiln owners left the girl’s family emotionally shattered, ultimately resulting in the heartbreaking decision made by the teenager. Tensions have escalated in the area as the community grapples with the aftermath of the tragedy.
