Guwahati: Guwahati Police seized a huge quantity of Burmese supari and arrested two persons in the connection.
An East Guwahati Police Department from Jorabat Outpost of Basistha Police intercepted a Mahindra Dl and seized at least 17 bags full of Burmese Supari at Jorabat.
Notably, the vehicle was coming from Silchar to Guwahati through Meghalaya.
Moreover, the vehicle was registered with the number AS 28 C 9548.
The Guwahati Police sharing the news on Twitter wrote, An EGPD team from Jorabat OP of Basistha PS intercepted one Mahindra DI, which was coming from Silchar to Guwahati through Meghalaya, at Jorabat today for smuggling 17 bags full of Burmese Supari & arrested 2 persons early morning today.”
