Guwahati, 18th May: In a tragic incident, 18 people were injured after a road accident that occurred in Kokrajhar district of Assam in the wee hours of Saturday.
The mishap took place on the Serfanguri Patgaon national highway in Kokrajhar.
As per sources, the accident occurred when the bus bearing registration number AS 01 PC 5625, which was en route from West Bengal to Guwahati met with the incident.
Sources further informed that over 16 passengers have been admitted to a nearby hospital, with two individuals suffering severe injuries—one with major foot injuries and another with head injuries.
Eye witnesses on the spot stated that the accident was dangerous and alarming too.
In total, eighteen injured passengers have been transported to Kokrajhar Medical College for further treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with authorities working to determine the factors that led to this ncident.
