Assam: 2 Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested At Silchar Railway Station

Guwahati: Two Bangladeshi nationals had been apprehended in Silchar, Assam for breaking Indian immigration laws, officials informed on Thursday.

As per reports, the two Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by police from Silchar Railway Station.

The two Bangladeshi nationals have been identified by authorities as Khokan Fakir and Mijanur Rahman. Police said that they had been brought into custody.

Police added that on October 17, with the assistance of brokers the two had crossed the border into Indian Territory.

Police officers stated that they had purportedly spent a few days working at a company in Kerala.

Meanwhile, they have been arrested by Silchar Police for questioning in relation to information on rackets at work that aid illegal immigration over international borders.
