Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two brothers of the same family were killed and another person sustained injuries in a road mishap that occurred in Sivasagar district of Assam on Friday.
The incident occurred at the Konwarpur area in Kari Gaon village.
The two deceased brothers were identified as 24-year-old Shiromani Konwar and Ajay Konwar while the injured person identified as Pradyuman Bairagi.
It should be noted that Shiromani Konwar was a national-level player and a karate coach. He led a team to a medal in the most recent Assam Youth Olympics.
The victims were riding a bike when it lost control and fell into a tree, causing the accident. Both of them died on the spot.
The All Assam Karate Association and the Sivasagar District Karate Association are two local organisations that have expressed their condolences.
