Guwahati: At least two people died while five others were severely injured as a vehicle carrying a wedding party collided met with a road mishap in Dhubri district of Assam.
The incident was reported from Hatipota area near Chapar town.
According to reports, the fatalities were caused when the vehicle collided directly with an approaching bus.
The deceased have been identified as Rekib Ahmed and Tanisha Yasmin.
It is learned that the vehicle was en route Dhurbi from Krishnoi on the ill-fated day.
Meanhwile, local police arrived at the site and shifted the injured patients to a nearby hospital for treatment.
