Assam: 2 killed in bus-tempo collision in Dhubri

Guwahati, 14th April: In a heart-rending road mishap in the midst of continuing Rongali Bihu celebrations, two youths were killed after a bus collided with a tempo in Dhubri district of Assam on April 14.

The incident took place at Arcarjhar village located in Chapar subdivision.

As per sources, the accident occurred due to a head-on collision between a tempo with the registration number AS17-B-9715 and an ultra bus bearing the registration number AS17-C-4125, resulting in the demise of both the tempo driver and the rider.

The deceased tempo driver has been identified as Zaher Ali while the rider has been identified as Sirajul Haque.

Following the accident, both of them died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the mishap, Chapar police officials arrived at the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

It needs to mention that the deceased tempo driver was a resident of Hatipota village in Chapar Salkocha Tehsil.
