Guwahati: Two people were died on the spot in a road accident in Assam’s Sonitpur district on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at around 12.30 pm at Behali National Highway 15 in Baghmari area of the district.
A bus registered with the number AS 07-BC-0146 was on its way to Nagaon from Lakhimpur when the accident occurred and the scooty rider along with the pillion rider died on the spot. The scooty was registered with the AS 12 Z 3198.
Between the two deceased one man and one woman. The man was identified as Dilip Darji who hails from Dhemaji. However, the identification of the woman is yet to ascertained.
According to reports, the handyman of the bus fled from the spot after the incident.
It may be mention that the after getting information about the incident the police officials reached the spot and both the body has been sent to Behali for post mortem.
