Assam: 2 Women Injured In Leopard Attack In Dibrugarh

Guwahati: Two women were seriously injured after a leopard attacked them while working at a tea estate in Dibrugarh district of Assam.

The two women have been identified as Astrita Kujur (26) and Anita Tirki (25) of the Khowang tea estate.

The duo was taken to the Moran tea garden hospital after the incidentwhere they are still receiving treatment.

According to locals, the leopard was hiding out in the tea garden and attacked the two women as they were plucking tea leaves.

Later, forest officials arrived when it was time to take stock of the situation. The department has being urged by locals to cage the animal before it does additional harm.
