Assam: 3 Killed in Road Accident In Cachar

Guwahati, 17th March: A tragic collision on the National Highway connecting Silchar-Aizawl has resulted in the loss of three lives and multiple injuries. The incident occurred in Narsinghpur, Cachar, when a passenger Sumo vehicle collided head-on with a truck. Eyewitnesses reported that the collision transpired as the passenger vehicle attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed.

Three individuals in the passenger Sumo vehicle lost their lives at the scene, while several others sustained injuries of varying severity. Prompt action by local residents facilitated the swift rescue and transportation of the injured to Silchar Medical College for urgent medical attention.

The identities of the deceased and injured remain undisclosed as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The incident underscores the dangers of reckless driving and highlights the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, particularly on busy highways.
