Guwahati: Three members of a family including two women were killed in a road accident in Dhemaji district of Assam on Friday.
The incident took place at the Telam village in Jonai Tehsil of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Archana Pegu, Minti Pegu and Dilip Pegu.
The accident occurred after a 6-wheeler truck collided with an Alto at Jamjing on national highway 515.
In the incident, one people died on the spot and two persons injured were rushed to a hospital but were declared dead by the doctors on arrival.
It needs to mentioned that the truck registration bearing AS 22 C8532 from the west, was burnt down in the collision.
