Assam: 3 Others Arrested by CID In HSLC Paper Leak
Guwahati: As many as three more people were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Assam Police in connection with the HSLC question paper leak which led to the cancellation of the class 10 general science examination on Thursday.
According to reports, the three suspects were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
Reportedly, one of the three defendants is under the age of 18 while the other two are adults.
Assam DGP Gyanendra Pratap Singh stated earlier on Thursday that the probe into the event involving the HSLC question paper leak is progressing at a fast pace.
In order to assess the progress of the investigation into the high-profile case involving the General Science question paper leak in the state’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Class 10 examinations, Assam DGP GP Singh travelled to Dibrugarh. As a result, the Secondary Education Board, Assam (SEBA) decided to cancel and reschedule the specific paper.
Addressing reporters there, GP Singh said, “The CID is actively pursuing all leads in the HSLC paper leak case. Our investigation is progressing rapidly. We are all working together as a team to find out the people behind it.”
He said, “Investigations into the HSLC paper leak case are underway in every district Assam. The CID is probing the matter based on the facts they uncovered while interrogating those detained yesterday in connection with the matter.”
