Assam: 3 Prisoners Escape from Tezpur Central Jail
Guwahati, 18th March: Authorities at Tezpur Central Jail are on high alert following the escape of three prisoners from the facility. The escaped inmates have been identified as Indajit Mandal, Zeherul Islam, and Thuleshwar Tati. According to reports, the trio managed to flee by crossing the jail’s perimeter wall.
Indajit Mandal is originally from West Bengal, while Zeherul Islam and Thuleshwar Tati have connections to Thelamara. Of particular concern is the fact that Zeherul Islam and Thuleshwar Tati are accused of involvement in child kidnapping and child rape crimes.
The escape of these inmates has raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of security measures at the central jail. Authorities are conducting thorough investigations to ascertain the circumstances leading to the escape and to track down the absconding prisoners.
Residents in the vicinity are urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend Indajit Mandal, Zeherul Islam, and Thuleshwar Tati to ensure the safety of the community.
