Assam: 30 Injured in Head-On Collision Between Two Passenger Buses in Kamrup District
Guwahati, 18th September: At least 30 people were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses at Rampur in Assam’s Kamrup district on September 18. The incident involved a bus (registration number AS-01LC-9478) traveling towards Guwahati and another bus (AS-01KC-9799) heading to Goalpara.
Local sources reported that the impact was severe, leaving numerous passengers injured, with both bus drivers critically hurt. Emergency responders and local residents quickly arrived at the scene to assist, transporting the injured to hospitals in Mirza and Rampur for treatment. Medical staff have indicated that both drivers are in grave condition.
