Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, four persons were electrocuted to death in Hailakandi district of Assam on Monday.
The incident took place at Bilaipur village of the district.
According to reports, the incident occurred after a four-year- old child named Razibul Hussain came into contact with live wire and died on the spot.
When the child’s mother identified as Husnara Begum Sheikh and Father identified as Sufinan Ahmed Sheikh arrived to look for their son, they too were electrocuted to death.
Another neighbour named Jahid Hussain Sheikh too died while attempting to save the others.
It needs to be mentioned that a pall of darkness has descended upon the entire area after the tragic incident.
Meanwhile, locals have blamed the electricity department for their negligence.
