Assam: 4 Timber Smugglers Held At Dihing Patkai

Guwahati: Four timber smugglers were arrested by the forest official’s smugglers from Dihing Patkai National Park in Dibrugarh district of Assam.

The arrested smugglers have been identified as Babul Nirmoliya, Jikir Orang, Sobhit Sarma and Tosen Bora.

According to reports, they were accused of cutting down trees in the national park.

They also had a considerable amount of unlawfully harvested timber in their possession, as well as tree-cutting equipment.

It may be mentioned that timber traffickers are operating in the Dehing Patkai districts with the assistance of some political authorities.
