Assam: 40 Individuals Fall Ill After Consuming ‘Prasad’ at Religious Function
Guwahati, 26th September: An incident of food poisoning has affected at least 40 people in Rupnagar, Pathsala, Assam. Reports emerged on Tuesday, detailing that the victims fell ill after consuming ‘Prasad’ at a religious function held on Monday.
The individuals attended the religious gathering where they were served chickpea and sprouts as part of the ‘Prasad.’ However, upon returning to their homes, they began to experience symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting.
In response to their deteriorating health conditions, all affected individuals were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the source of the contamination and taking necessary measures to ensure the well-being of those affected.
