Assam: 477.21 Grams of Drugs Seized In Karbi Anglong, one held
Guwahati, 5th Jan: In a significant move towards a drug-free society, the Karbi Anglong police conducted a successful anti-narcotics operation on January 5. The operation resulted in the seizure of 477.21 grams of Tramadol and Sampex+ capsules, leading to the arrest of one individual.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his appreciation for the commendable effort by the Karbi Anglong police.
Taking to ‘X,’ Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “In an anti-narcotics operation carried out by @karbianglongpol this afternoon, 477.21 grams of Tramadol and Sampex+ capsules were recovered after a thorough search from a bike. One person has been apprehended in this regard. Well done @assampolice.”
This successful operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse and trafficking in the region.
