Guwahati, 12th March: In a tragic incident, a five-year-old child met with a fatal accident after accidentally falling into a septic tank in Assam’s Sivasagar district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at Demow.
The deceased child has been identified as Sillishikha Gogoi.
The incident unfolded when the child went missing earlier in the day, prompting villagers to launch a search operation.
After a thorough search, the child was found unconscious inside the septic tank, indicating a devastating turn of events.
It is suspected that the child may have fallen into the septic tank while playing in the vicinity, underscoring the dangers posed by uncovered or improperly secured tanks.
Despite efforts to rush the child to a nearby hospital for medical assistance, tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The entire community mourns the loss of young Sillishikha Gogoi, and this incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring safety measures are in place, particularly in residential areas, to prevent such heartbreaking accidents in the future.
