Guwahati: As many as seven persons were injured after a Magic van collided with an oncoming truck while they were travelling in Jorhat district of Assam.
The incident occurred in Mohbondha area of the district.
According to reports, after the collision the van fell into a roadside pond and immediately after the incident the local people of the area rescued them.
Reportedly, the injured were later rushed to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) for medical attention.
Moreover, four of them are said to be in critical condition.
As per reports, the driver of the truck fled from the spot after the incident.
