Assam: 7-year-old boy drowns In Mayong

Guwahati, 17th March: In a heart-wrenching incident in Kusumpur, Mayong, 7-year-old Vishal Das tragically lost his life after falling into the Pakaria river and drowning. The incident occurred while Vishal was playing with friends on the riverbanks. Despite immediate efforts by nearby residents to rescue him, Vishal was pronounced dead upon arrival at Jhargaon Hospital.

Eyewitnesses recounted Vishal’s fall into the river during play, prompting swift response from the community. Mayong police authorities arrived promptly to manage the situation, and the deceased child was later sent for postmortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.

The tragic loss of young Vishal Das has deeply impacted the local community, with family, friends, and neighbors mourning his untimely demise. Officials are emphasizing caution, especially around water bodies, to prevent similar tragedies, while efforts are underway to provide support and solace to Vishal’s grieving family during this difficult period.
