Assam: Abandoned baby boy rescued from field in Jorhat

Guwahati, 14th November: In yet another shocking incident, a newborn abandoned baby was rescued early morning today in Jorhat district of Assam.

The newborn boy was rescued by the locals.

As per sources, the newborn boy was dumped in a bag by the side of the road outside the wall of a house. The newborn’s face was wrapped in a sack and was covered with cloth.

However, locals rescued the newborn after hearing sobbing in the midst of the field.

The incident was reported at Seuj Nagar of Kakatigaon locality under the Jorhat District of Assam.

Meanwhile, the infant was admitted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH) for necessary medical care.

It needs to mention that incidents of abandoning newborns have raised concerns within the community, prompting authorities to investigate and address the underlying issues surrounding such distressing situations.
