Guwahati: A devastating road accident occurred late Saturday night, April 27, in the vicinity of the National Highway flyover in Lokhra, Guwahati, resulting in the untimely death of one individual and critical injuries to another.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that a truck in motion collided with a stationary truck that had been parked along the highway for necessary repairs.
At the time of the incident, a handyman was actively engaged in repairing a wheel of the parked truck. The impact of the collision was catastrophic, tragically trapping the handyman under the wheels of the moving vehicle, leading to his instantaneous demise.
The driver of the truck that caused the collision sustained grave injuries and remained trapped within the mangled remains of his vehicle for a significant period before emergency responders could successfully extricate him. As of now, authorities are diligently working to ascertain the identities of both the deceased handyman and the critically injured driver, whose personal details are yet to be officially confirmed.
