Assam: AGP Candidate Expresses Confidence in Barpeta Lok Sabha Seat Amid Opposition Disarray

Guwahati, 17th March: Phanibhusan Chowdhury, the AGP candidate contesting from the Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency, exudes confidence in his party’s prospects for the upcoming general elections. Addressing the media at the AGP office in Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district, Chowdhury highlighted what he sees as a weakening of the opposition unity platform.

With most opposition parties fielding their own candidates in Barpeta, Chowdhury believes this fragmentation diminishes the competitive challenge against AGP. Emphasizing his commitment to principled politics, Chowdhury stated, “I do politics by playing decency,” reflecting his dedication to ethical governance.

Drawing from his experience as an MLA in Bongaigaon Assembly constituency, Chowdhury aims to bridge the gap between the electorate and MPs if elected as an MP. While the Congress candidate for the Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency remains undisclosed, Chowdhury expresses optimism about securing votes from the minority population for the NDA candidate this election cycle.

In addition, Chowdhury extends congratulations to Lurinjyoti Gogoi, the Ajap candidate from Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency, expressing confidence in Sarbananda Sonowal’s victory in the seat. These remarks underline AGP’s strategic positioning, reflecting their belief in emerging victorious despite perceived disarray within the opposition ranks.
