Assam: AGP President Atul Bora Casts Doubt on Congress’s Electoral Prospects

Guwahati, 4th May: Atul Bora, the president of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Assam’s Agriculture Minister, has voiced skepticism about the Congress party’s chances in upcoming elections, suggesting they face an uphill battle ahead.

Bora asserted that Congress is exploring alternative electoral constituencies, indicating a lack of confidence in their traditional strongholds. He criticized the party for what he perceives as failures in addressing national needs and a lack of internal unity.

Speaking to the media, Bora remarked, “Congress’ condition is bad…they did nothing for the people of the country, they don’t have any unity or a leader like PM Modi. People don’t trust them anymore. They have divide and rule policy…”

Bora juxtaposed Congress’s perceived shortcomings with the strong leadership of Prime Minister Modi, suggesting that the opposition lacks a comparable figure to rally behind.

Additionally, he accused Congress of employing a divisive political strategy, which he believes has eroded public trust in the party’s ability to govern effectively.
