Assam Agriculture Minister Lambasts Congress, Backs PM Modi for Third Term

Guwahati, 22nd April: Assam’s Agriculture Minister delivered a scathing criticism of the Congress party, accusing them of limited progress during their lengthy rule and a disconnect from ground realities. Bora’s remarks firmly supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), expressing confidence in Modi’s potential for a third consecutive term.

Bora didn’t hold back in his assessment of the Congress party’s governance, highlighting their failure to achieve significant development despite decades in power. Contrasting this with Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, he praised the advancements made under the NDA government, asserting India’s progress under Modi’s tenure.

At a campaign event attended by AGP working president Keshab Mahanta and BJP candidate Kripanath Mallah, Bora and Mahanta openly endorsed Mallah’s candidacy, signaling broad support for the BJP and NDA in the Karimganj constituency. Their endorsement emphasized trust in PM Modi’s leadership and the policies of the ruling coalition.

Bora also addressed recent statements by Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, dismissing their claims and indicating a decline in the Congress party’s electoral prospects. The AGP chief’s stance echoes the sentiment among regional allies of the BJP, emphasizing continuity under Narendra Modi’s leadership.
