Guwahati, 14th May: On the night of Monday, May 13, the escort vehicle of Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) President Lurinjyoti Gogoi was involved in a road accident in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. The mishap occurred while Gogoi and his security personnel were traveling from Dibrugarh to Lahowal.
According to reports, the driver of the escort vehicle lost control and veered off the road in the Bokpora area of Dibrugarh to avoid a cyclist approaching from the opposite direction. The vehicle, an Innova with the registration number AS01BT6376, sustained severe damage.
Six people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the Assam Medical College & Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, Lurinjyoti Gogoi, who was traveling in the vehicle ahead of his escort car, was unharmed in the incident.
