Assam: Alleged Assam Police Spy Claims SI Junmoni Rabha’s Death Was Pre-Planned Murder in ULFA-I Camp
Guwahati, 13th February: In a recent video released by the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) on February 13, Manash Borgohain, an alleged spy from Assam Police detained in the ULFA-I camp, has made startling allegations regarding the death of SI Junmoni Rabha, claiming it to be a premeditated murder.
Borgohain asserted that Manash Chaliha, purportedly the zonal head of the police’s Special Branch, used to issue threats, including towards himself, in the past. He claimed that Chaliha had forewarned of dire consequences for SI Junmoni Rabha, particularly during her crackdown on a fake gold racket in the state.
Accusing Assam Police of complicity, Borgohain alleged that Chaliha had provided insider information about Rabha’s movements and the subsequent actions of Assam DGP GP Singh, including the provision of protection to a driver linked to the case.
In a fresh video, Borgohain refuted Chaliha’s denial of acquaintance, asserting a personal connection through mutual acquaintances, including their respective girlfriends. He accused Chaliha of attempting to distance himself by deleting evidence of their association.
Furthermore, Borgohain claimed that Chaliha, posing as an organic farmer, is actively involved in SB operations, including recruitment and training, and even training women recruits for purposes of infiltration.
These revelations underscore a complex web of allegations surrounding SI Junmoni Rabha’s death and raise questions about the integrity of Assam Police and the operations of ULFA-I.
