Guwahati: The union home minister Amit Shah will visit to Dergaon in the Golaghat district of Assam on Sunday to inaugurate the two-day conference of superintendents of police that will be conducted at the Police Training College.
The seminar will be held at the Police Training College’s freshly built police conference room.
The two-day meeting has been subject to strict security measures.
Drugs that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and agencies from the Northeastern states had seized were confiscated on Saturday in Minister Amit Shah’s presence. The drugs weighed about 40,000 kg.
Along with another 8,000 kg of drugs that the Assam government agencies confiscated a total of 11,000 kg of drugs were burned in Guwahati.
