Assam Announces Massive Recruitment Drive: 35,000 Government Vacancies to be Filled by April 2025
Guwahati, 9th July: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has unveiled ambitious plans for a significant recruitment drive aimed at filling approximately 35,000 government vacancies by April 2025. Emphasizing transparency and efficiency, Sarma announced the initiative, which spans multiple sectors crucial to the state’s governance.
- Assam Police Recruitment: Over 6,400 positions within the Assam Police will be filled, with physical tests scheduled to commence from October 3.
- Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE):
- Grade III: More than 7,500 posts will be filled through ADRE, with preliminary exams scheduled for September 15, 22, and 29.
- Grade IV: Over 4,500 positions will undergo preliminary exams on October 20 and 27.
- Education Sector: Plans include recruiting over 13,000 teachers for elementary and secondary schools. Detailed announcements regarding this recruitment are forthcoming.
Chief Minister Sarma assured that all stages of the recruitment drives, from preliminary exams to skill tests and physical tests where applicable, will be completed within the stipulated timeframe of April 2025.
