Assam: Another associate of Waris Punjab De’s chief Amritpal Singh Shifted to Hospital as Health Deteriorates in Dibrugarh
Guwahati, 7th March: Basant Singh, a supporter of Waris Punjab De, on March 7 was transferred from Dibrugarh Central Jail to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) due to worsening health conditions.
This development comes in the wake of two associates of Amrit Pal Singh, who have been on an indefinite hunger strike since February 17 inside the Dibrugarh Central Jail, being hospitalized.
Kulwant Singh and Gurmeet Singh were admitted to the ICU at AMCH yesterday after their health deteriorated significantly.
According to reports, Amritpal Singh, the chief of Waris Punjab De, along with nine Sikh youth detained under the National Security Act (NSA), has been part of an indefinite hunger strike since February 17 in Dibrugarh Central Jail.
The deteriorating health of supporters underscores the seriousness of their protest, highlighting the need for attention and intervention.
